We successfully completed the tendering process for the purchase of the CTRUST GPU cluster this spring, and this week, the cluster arrived at the Institute of Physics Belgrade for installation. What does it include?
The cluster comprises two HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 servers, each equipped with an NVIDIA A30 GPU card. Each server is fitted with two Intel Xeon-Silver 4310 2.1GHz processors and 128 GB of RAM. The servers are interconnected using Infiniband EDR 100 Gbps technology. The cluster will be linked to the existing storage system, which is based on the HPE MSA 2062 12Gb SAS controller. The controller is connected to two disk enclosures containing a total of 24 6TB SAS drives. This results in a raw storage space of 144TB, or 95TB of effective storage space when connected as a RAID level 6 array. The Lustre distributed parallel system over Infiniband is used to achieve optimal storage utilization.
We have already collected the datasets we need from various platforms such as Twitter, Bluesky, Koo, Reddit, and Voat and stored them in our storage system. Now, we are eagerly anticipating the operational readiness of new equipment, which will enable us to analyze these datasets and produce initial results toward our ultimate goal of understanding how collective trust develops and fades within social groups.
